About me

Hi, my name is Natalia and I create at Spalone Studio. I draw my inspiration from the emotions we send to others, and those we feel in ourselves. When creating, I want my ceramics to reflect our personalities – laughing, loving, and sometimes screaming along with us. This is how my ceramics were born.

Although I’m naturally quite shy and love coziness and calm, working with ceramics has helped me open up and connect with people. I cherish quiet moments at home – they’re essential for my introverted soul – but it’s the meetings and conversations with you, my customers, that have become my greatest source of inspiration.

Each of my items is created by hand, in small batches, without hurry. Each one is a little different – just like us. Each imperfection is an element of history that makes the item unique.

This sentence captures well the meaning of what I do. My ceramics can be a daily companion – it doesn’t have to prove anything, it just needs to be next to it.

How to take care of ceramics?

To make your ceramics last as long as possible, it is best to wash them by hand in warm water with liquid. All products are also suitable for the dishwasher, but hand washing will help keep them in perfect condition for longer. And what should you avoid? Leaving liquids on the bottom of cups and prolonged contact with water.

Can your cups be placed in the microwave?

Yes, our products are safe in the microwave. However, if you have dishes with metallic elements, it is better not to put them there.

How often do new collections appear?

Creating new collections is a process that takes time and patience. From the levelling, to the drying, cleaning, painting and firing – each stage is important to make the final product unique. Typically, new products are released every 3-4 weeks, although sometimes it happens a little faster if the inspiration is right.
